They are the most tangible evidence to me that gay people don’t choose to be gay and that it’s largely set due to genes and hormones in the womb with perhaps a bit influenced by early childhood experiences and later personal will in cases where one is not so clearly homo or heterosexual, but is more bisexual. Plus my siblings were raised in a very Mormon family where there was no incentive at all to choose being gay. Since I think one’s sexuality is mostly involuntary and gays are such a small % of the population I don’t see why conservative groups care that much. I understand how they could be afraid people might convert if it were mostly a choice but that doesn’t seem to be the case. So, I think conservatives that don’t agree with gays being able to marry or what not are wasting their time in fighting against gay marriage and so on because it’s a small % of people and there are much bigger issues at stake. Gays aren’t the real threat to the family.
